FHL is located at Whakatane, North Island of New Zealand. Whakatane is a small town surrounded by farmland, National Park and the Pacific Ocean. We experience the most sunshine hours in New Zealand therefore providing a high number of flying days for our training and aerial work operations.
We work from an unattended airfield and are surrounded by excellent terrain for all aspects of training and have control zones nearby to facilitate the syllabus and to provide air traffic control experience.
FHL has accommodation for our students free of charge who are attending our courses. It is self-contained with all the comforts of home located handy to good beaches and a small town.
