Professional Long Line Course (PLLC) – A professionally designed course that provides 25 hours of one on one, vertical reference experience, operating long-lines up to 250 foot. This course is designed to provide experience and skill to pilots who are seeking to enhance their skill base in pursuit of their goals and or employment opportunities. The training starts at a basic level working up to an advanced standard of slinging.
The training incorporates varied length line, flat to undulating terrain, unobstructed to heavily forested land, down hill up hill ridge to ridge operations, grapple, bucket, and construction tasks. The grapple work simulates logging operations and the repetition type flying associated with that coupled with the finesse of positioning the grapple onto the log. The bucket simulates fire fighting tasks utilizing a suspended water bucket to douse the fire. The practice of dunking or pump filling the bucket coupled with the positioning and release of water onto the chosen target accurately is practiced here.
We also have fit together structures representing a seismic drill which requires assembly and disassembly by the pilot himself simulating the miner assisted seismic drill rigs utilised around the world.
This training provides real-time scenarios mirroring the commercial industry exposing the pilot to all aspects of aerial work. Video footage is recorded during the course to be saved onto a DVD allowing real time integrity of your new or polished skill set.

Heli-apprentice 500
This period of flying experience is new and designed to facilitate the individual who believes in investment of experience to further his employment opportunities with perspective employers. This concept has come about by the shortage of experienced pilots entering the industry and the demand for pilots by companies to have appropriate experience for acceptance into these companies.
You are a long time solo throughout your aviation career therefore the more exposure to dual and solo under direct supervision mentored by experienced pilots grows your knowledge and experience base quicker and safer than trial by error during solo operations. Experience and attitude are key to a safe and durable career therefore kick-starting this by a concentrated period of 500 hrs under constructive instruction and guidance is a giant step forward into the industry.
Instead of months and or years of hour building towards securing your first job, this course will get you to that milestone in a very small timeframe. You start with your PPL followed by your CPL and then advanced training and varied helicopter ratings. You will complete your night, mountain, basic instrument, instructor, sling rating and PLLC coupled with R22, R44, Schweizer 269, MD500E and AS 350 BA aircraft ratings.
You will be instructed and mentored for the complete 500 hrs by the owner operator to a standard acceptable for immediate employment. Video footage is recorded of you undertaking various aerial work tasks you accomplish with FHL and this is recorded to DVD for integrity of logbook and proof of skill to future employer.
